Rear strut brace - Mini Gen1 R50 R53 - Stainless steel

Hurry, there are only 3 item(s) left!

This rear strut brace is perfect to stiffen up the rear end when cornering, it also allows the rear seats to still lock into place while fitted which most other rear strut braces will not.

TIG welded 45mm stainless steel, fully structural rear strut brace.

These come with matt black end fixing brackets and a stainless steel (silver colour) logo plate. The logo plate can be painted black to match the end brackets if required. Please state that you want it black in the notes.

The entire strut brace can be painted any colour if requested (additional cost applies)

Fitting: lower your rear seat down flat.

If you have a long bracket that can be set in 2 positions you can remove the 2 bolts either side and pull out the brackets. Once removed, place the rectanglular spacer plate in position, then the seat bracket then the strut brace bracket, screw 4 bolts in loosely and make sure it is properly in place. Tighten the bolts down and make sure the seats lock back into place.

If you only have a small hinge sticking out and no adjustment point you will have the remove the carpet pieces either side to gain access to the bolts underneath. There are poppy pins that hold them in. Place the spacer plate first then the seat bracket then the strut brace bracket on last. Screw all 4 bolts in loosely to make sure it's properly in place and then snug them down. Make sure the seat kicks into place.

Top tip: this can be used with a hammock, no need to find 2 trees or supports the perfect distance apart, just used your new rear strut brace. Perfectly capable of holding a hammock and 2 people.

Gen3 coming soon!

While modifications are a great way to alter the look and performance of a car, some may also affect the handling and overall safety of the vehicle on the road.

You may need to inform your insurance company of any modifications made to your car – whether they were already installed when you purchased the vehicle or if you have done them yourself. If you don’t tell your insurer, any future claim you make could be turned down. Worse still, your insurance could be completely invalidated. Modifications carried out to any car may affect the vehicle manufacturers warranty.
