This installation requires specific knowledge of the Gen 3 suspension system. Advanced mechanical skills, complete knowledge of strut type suspensions and some specialized tools and access to a lift is highly recommended.

225-60 x18 or 235-55 x 18 has proven to fit within the MINI wheel well without rubbing or trimming. Any tire the same or smaller in diameter will work. Larger tires can be made to work with minor trimming of the inner wheel well shield and the addition of wheel spacers.

On some vehicles a minor vibration felt in the steering wheel may be experienced after installation of this kit.  This will diminish over time as the CV joints burnish in at their new running angle. Depending on tire size and tire weight a small low frequency wobble in the steering wheel may also be experienced when starting from a stopped position. We recommend a light wheel tire combination to combat this weight induced wobble.

Car modification laws in the UK and elsewhere are in place to ensure drivers who want to enhance their vehicles adhere to certain safety standards. While modifications are a great way to alter the look and performance of a car, some may also affect the handling and overall safety of the vehicle on the road.

You may need to inform your insurance company of any modifications made to your car – whether they were already installed when you purchased the vehicle or if you have done them yourself. If you don’t tell your insurer, any future claim you make could be turned down. Worse still, your insurance could be completely invalidated. Modifications carried out to any car may affect the vehicle manufacturers warranty.
