Upgraded timing chain kit for all Gen2 Petrol MINIs!
This kit uses much stronger materials and have been redesigned to prevent premature failures as they are very well known for, even when well looked after..! Tried and tested in race series, track days, and normal daily driving with great results.
The redesigned chain allows for full and constant lubrication of each link, resulting in a much longer lasting chain.
The redesigned lower sprocket features anti slip grooves to avoid any slippage in the timing system as that often result in engine failure. Great for fast raving, clutch kicking, high torque engines. Tested up to 450whp at 7.8k RPM.
The chain tensioner material prevents wear over time and more important it won’t fail and pop out loosing all pressure.
The top guide is twice as heavy now, for good reason! That’s how much more strength has been added to such a weak point in the engines.
The kit includes;
2x guides
1x upper guide
1x chain tensioner
1x anti slip lower sprocket
1x timing bolt kit (Crank, Exhaust cam, Intake cam)
1x front main seal
1x valve cover gasket
*Optional Water-pump pulley and Drivebelt £100* The best time to replace these is while doing the timing chain, almost no extra labour involved. The pulleys tend to crack over time like the Drive-belts do.
