Is it very common for the Footwell Module to fail in the 2nd generation MINIs. It could be from a battery drain, replacing the battery, or just bad luck, they have a mind of their own…!
Do you windows suddenly not work? Interior lights not working, headlight stuck on, no indicators, car in a ramp symbol? You need a footwell repair as it is corrupted.
All lights working but you constantly have a bulb warning ? Want a spare unit in case the current one fails? Have changed a module but the vin and vehicular order don’t match? You need a pre programmed unit.
We offer 2 services when it comes to footwells;
•Repair corrupted footwell
•Supply a pre programmed unit to your car
Both services can be done via post or in person, the repair can be done while you wait and takes 10/15minutes.
We ship the repaired module the same day we received them with next day delivery.
If we are supplying a pre programmed unit please expect up to a week lead time as stock levels may vary.
Please specify the type of unit you have in the notes section when ordering a pre programmed unit. This will be on the white label visible with the kick panel removed. (See photos).
The unit can be either High - High EKS - LOW EKS
*Do not disconnect the battery to remove or refit the module - Once refitted you will need to reset the windows for frameless models*
To do so; Close all the doors, lower both windows all the way and hold for 10seconds; all the way up and hold again. You can check its working by opening the door, the window will drop.
Please let us know if you think any additional information would be useful and we will add it here.

Car modification laws in the UK and elsewhere are in place to ensure drivers who want to enhance their vehicles adhere to certain safety standards. While modifications are a great way to alter the look and performance of a car, some may also affect the handling and overall safety of the vehicle on the road.
You may need to inform your insurance company of any modifications made to your car – whether they were already installed when you purchased the vehicle or if you have done them yourself. If you don’t tell your insurer, any future claim you make could be turned down. Worse still, your insurance could be completely invalidated. Modifications carried out to any car may affect the vehicle manufacturers warranty.
