Bolt on BHP, by lowering the charge Air temperatures, a remapped car has increased power by ECU changes that raise boost pressure and other parameters, this increase in boost pressure raise intake temps and power loss soon follows, by fitting an up-rated intercooler you lower these intake temps, in turn increasing bhp and making your engine safer.
As part of our expanding Mini product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our intercooler upgrade for the F56 JCW model, suitable for track or fast road use.
In order to ensure there is no noticeable loss in performance during extended periods of hard driving, we have developed a larger, freer-flowing intercooler that is a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM item.
Our solution to increasing the intercooler’s size and performance within the confines of the limited space behind the bumper is based upon a taller core with increased depth. This offers a massive increase in overall capacity in comparison to the original intercooler, as well as an increase in frontal area over standard, which allows it to make the most of the air flow provided.
Together with our high-flow, moulded one-piece cast end tanks to ensure flow is directed correctly and efficiently, the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler offers much greater efficiency and volume over standard.
Available in a high quality powder coated black finish, the comprehensive kit is a direct replacement comes with all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed fitting instructions.

Car modification laws in the UK and elsewhere are in place to ensure drivers who want to enhance their vehicles adhere to certain safety standards. While modifications are a great way to alter the look and performance of a car, some may also affect the handling and overall safety of the vehicle on the road.
You may need to inform your insurance company of any modifications made to your car – whether they were already installed when you purchased the vehicle or if you have done them yourself. If you don’t tell your insurer, any future claim you make could be turned down. Worse still, your insurance could be completely invalidated. Modifications carried out to any car may affect the vehicle manufacturers warranty.
